Computer Vision / Autonomous Navigation Engineer
DescriptionSatellite servicing missions require safe and reliable autonomous navigation and docking systems. Computer Vision is vital to that goal, and Starfish’s CETACEAN relative navigation software uses Computer Vision and other data to autonomously navigate and dock satellites in orbit. This position will support the development of CETACEAN’s computer vision and state estimation capabilities, relying on satellite operations knowledge and expertise in estimation filters and/or Computer Vision.
Embedded Software Engineer
DescriptionStarfish’s spacecraft requires high performance software; thus, we are looking for an embedded software engineer who can help us build core software technologies to conduct relative navigation and to execute autonomous guidance and control. These software products are developed and tested in simulation environments, and must execute on top of complex vehicle software stacks. This position will build software infrastructure to support the development of autonomous space systems and write flight software to ensure algorithms run properly on board satellites. This role will focus on building the software / hardware interfaces for our satellites, but may also involve some cloud infrastructure building and automated simulation analysis.
GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) Engineer
DescriptionSatellite servicing missions require autonomous, robotic actions in orbit. To fulfill our mission Starfish is developing the Otter servicing vehicle and the CEPHALOPOD guidance software to interact with and maximize the operational value of satellites. This position will support the development of flight algorithms to autonomously guide satellites during rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking (RPOD), and relies on guidance, navigation, and control skills. This engineer will do everything ranging from writing software, to developing autonomous flight algorithms, to executing testing campaigns to ensure high reliability performance.

Robotics Engineer
DescriptionSatellite servicing missions require autonomous, robotic actions in orbit. Our vehicle requires several robotic components, including our thruster boom system, Nautilus capture mechanism, and more. We are looking for a strong robotics specialist to help design and build those systems. This engineer will do everything ranging from designing robotic arms and other devices, to building prototypes, to helping write the software / hardware interfaces to make them work. This is a really cool role to build robotic features that have never before been flown in space!
Satellite Systems Engineer
DescriptionSatellite servicing missions require autonomous, robotic actions in orbit. This position will support the development of our Otter satellite, with a focus on long-lead design and development. This role relies on space environment knowledge, satellite operations, and system design skills. This is a broad role, with responsibilities ranging from performance analysis, to systems engineering, and satellite payload integration and testing.
Business Operations Manager
DescriptionStarfish Space is growing fast and looking for someone to support us in continuing to scale and operate a variety of business functions, including Business Operations, Marketing, Finance, and People Operations. This role will take over multiple business operations functions as the company scales. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in scaling up a startup, and to build a business around technology that can change how humans go out into the universe around us.
Project Execution Manager
DescriptionStarfish Space is executing on an increasing number of projects ranging from overall development of our Otter servicing vehicle to agreements with government and commercial customers. We are looking for skilled project managers to help us execute efficiently and effectively across these projects, collaborating across multiple internal and external stakeholders to define objectives and requirements, conduct research, create deliverables, and ensure overall project success. This is a great opportunity to be part of an exciting and growing endeavor in the space industry.
